Mission Statement
Our Mission is to provide unincorporated Iowa County with the safest and highest quality of roads and bridges. We seek to accomplish this with constructing bridges and culverts, paving roads, and grading roads, gravel, snow removal, traffic signing, and brush control with the most advanced technology possible.
The county engineer is a licensed professional Engineer and is appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
Reports weekly to the Board of Supervisors all plans and specifications of road, bridge, and culvert work.
The engineer inspects the bridge structures on a regular basis to assess their condition and safety.
Reports annually to county and state officials all expenditures on secondary road funds.
The engineer office designs, inspects, & administers the construction of roads & bridges in the county as well as various projects that
enhance the Road system.
