Operation: "Christmas Cheer"

During the month of November the Iowa County Veterans Affairs Office collects donations for the Veterans at the Veterans Home in Marshalltown Iowa. Here is a list of things that we can accept for donations.

All clothing items must be new with tags on.

They are currently good for Afghans, Lap Quilts, Tooth Brushes, Tooth Paste, Shampoos/Conditioners, Playing Cards and Puzzles. 

Navy Cribbage Board Raffle

Register to win a Navy Cribbage Board and Naval Playing Cards for this years annual raffle. Only one submission per veteran, winner must be able to provide proof of service (DD214/NG22). Iowa County Veteran of the Year

Each year the Iowa County Veteran Affairs takes nominations for veterans that reside in the local community, who go above and beyond, to continue serving their local communities. Please consider joining us to celebrate this years nomination as we present this award to a amazing member of the Williamsburg Community. Start Time 8:20am. 

Iowa County Veteran Affairs Commission Meeting

The Iowa County Commission of Veteran Affairs-Commission Meeting is Tuesday November 18th, 2025 at 4:00pm in the lower level of the court house at 4:00pm. General Members of the community are welcome.
